Altec GmbH is a medium-sized industrial company based in Singen am Hohentwiel, in southern Baden-Württemberg – an economically strong region near Lake Constance and the Swiss border. For over 40 years, Altec has been developing and producing high-quality loading aids for a wide variety of applications.

The company was founded in 1983 in Rielasingen-Arlen. Just one year later, it relocated to Singen, where, in addition to spiral winding machines, the company increasingly manufactured loading aids. With a focus on aluminum loading ramps, wheelchair ramps, and loading bridges made of aluminum and steel, this area quickly became the core business and continues to shape the company today.

Altec stands for practical solutions in the loading sector. The product range covers virtually all requirements – from standardized loading ramps to custom-made special solutions. Functionality, durability, and safety are paramount.

With continuous growth, the Singen site has also been steadily expanded. In addition to modern production halls and a high-performance high-bay warehouse, Altec invests specifically in efficient manufacturing processes and sustainable technologies. Since 2021, a photovoltaic system has made a significant contribution to environmentally friendly energy supply and considerably reduces CO₂ emissions.

Today, Altec GmbH employs around 80 people. The company combines many years of experience with technical expertise and stands for quality, reliability, and collaborative partnerships.
